I used to use the comedy carton when it first came out and it was fun for real small kids. Anyone have a favorite with a brief review?

My favorites are "Knot Funny" and "Comedy Carton", which works great with kids. I also have "Hank Trick" but used it only twice, not that I don't like it but I still enjoy the reactions I get from those 2 items...

I have now been using Kandu's Comedy Karton in my Christmas shows and I can tell you that it is a laugh riot for the adults as well as the kids.
This is the best thing I've bought for the show in years. |

Knot Funny, Comedy Carton, and Hank & Rope Trick, in that order. All fantastic audience participation routines, highly recommended!

Out of everything I perform, Knot Funny is one of my top three favorite tricks.

I have always liked the description of knot funny but the the video clip that's on jeff's site of him performing it must do it no justice. It comes off painful to watch, drags and looks so predictable, plus sound and video is terrible.
How is the build quality of knot funny? My original comedy carton was very flimsy, I had to have it reinforced.

I can honestly say I have performed the Comedy Carton or Knot Funny in 85% of my shows in the past two years. Both have the ability to slay an audience with children present.

I've performed Knot Funny in several hundred shows. It's still going strong.

I, too, vote for Knot Funny. It practically 'stole the show' during my 2008 summer library presentations! And of course, I'm still using it...

Oh, plus it has some brass staples, which also need replacing every 200-300 shows. Other replacement requirements have been: a few meters of rope, a few replacement tubes (only required for version 1, the version 2 tube is still going strong), and a couple of magician's silks. (Comedy Carton is also the PERFECT prop to work "Santa's Suit" from Practical Magic.) Seriously, these are LOW maintenance props! I just looked at my original Knot Funny today, and it's been through HUNDREDS of shows. It still works fine, but it does look a little tired now. I have the new, slightly more compact version which has also been through hundreds of shows, and that one still looks like brand new (I'm getting better at keeping my props in lovely condition. Also, in the original version, the plastic tubes cracked easily because they were so long, the new ones last MUCH longer). Jeff Eaton offers some of the most commercial, complete routines available in magic today. Strong audience participation routines, with endless laughter cues, and sturdy props that need no regular maintenance. Potty |

Knot Funny is the one I use in all my kids shows. I have the Comedy Carton but it never gets the recation that Knot Funny does.

Thanks to this nice thread, I just sold out of Knot Funny.
We are finishing a run on Comedy Cartons (after a long hard fight to re-engineer it)and plan to get the Wand-o-Matic finished in the next 2 weeks. If we have time we will get a few Knot Funny done too. If not, thanks again for all the support and Happy Holidays to you and yours. With kindest regards, Jef
