I knew a guy who had a collection of 38 grandfather clocks all set to different times. His wife complained about them constantly - but he never heard her.

I've seen a Salvador Dali clock for sale once or twice. That could be fun, but probably hard to find.
The "backwards" clock is always fun and it's a bit of a mind game you can play with yourself! Does anyone sell a remote control "time machine" wall clock that you could use in a routine? Just curious!

You're right, Salvador Dali's "Time" on a clock would be pretty cool. Then I imagined what I might build as a magic themed clock for my shop. I like the idea of a remote controlled wall clock too. I don't know what I will do. I have a little battery powered alarm clock in there now and I cant see it over five feet away so I need something big and with good contrast between hands and face. I'll have to see what I can come up with, but next month. Right now Im too busy to mess with it but I will.
Keep those ideas coming, I appreciate it.

That's a good idea to add meters to it, Tabman. Pete, having the clock made on a magazine cover is a great idea.

After I thought about it for awhile I decided I didn't want to burn a copy of the book for a clock unless I can dig up one of the proofs somewhere. Im starting to like the idea presented earlier about a nice wood clock with magic wand hands. I can see it in my mind's eye.

What color would those magic wands be, Tabman?

JT, In my minds eye UI see a blond clock face with dark (walnut maybe) wand hands with cherry tips. Minute and hour hands only and maybe a foot in diameter so I can see it across the space. Id hae to find a battery powered movement that was strong enough to power a couple of heavt wood hands. Of course, I could make the wands out of flat stock for ease. That may be the way to go. No time to make it now however, just talk.

Tabby; Lee Valley selss clock parts reasonably and they have GREAT customer service. Not to mention odd and necessary tools ( tool addict here, but I go to therapy for it ( buy more of course)).
