The effect was very nice - seemed very fair, and easy to follow. I like it!
But (and yes, this is nit-picky), make sure your patter is consistent. In the beginning, you say the following two lines, pretty much following each other... "In just a moment, I'm gonna have you select ONE of these cards..." "In just a second, you're gonna select THREE of these cards..." Again, yes, that was a nit-picky observation, but I believe those little things are important. Another thought I just had - could there be some justification, for changing the way you are eliminating cards? First you eliminate half the deck, by having them cut the deck. Then for no real reason, the remaining half is spread, and narrowed down in a completely different manner. To justify the change in the elimination, I think it's as simple as the proper dialogue. Maybe something like: "let's get rid of half the deck right away, cut the deck please. Ok, half the deck removed, down to a more manageable number - 26 cards remain. Now (spread the remaining half) I want you to choose carefully, ('choosing carefully' would imply a more specific, thought out choice of where to place the gift card, as opposed to the first, arbitrary, hasty cut they made) and place the gift card wherever you'd like."

I just got this effect last night as a freebie along with FUZE (thanks for the Note Jeff); ordered it during the Magic Session last week where the FUZE was well reviewed. For my purposes, I preferred a slightly different method of having the spectator select the three cards in this effect, and my variation is here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ijzdfyUt_S0&feature=youtu.be
