I've came up with an effect where you can take a plastic bottle and with out touching it you can cause the bottle to bend.

I was wondering if anyone has came up with something like that?

Yes.
Then you'll rise right before my eyes, on wings that fill the sky, like a phoenix rising!

I believe there is a version of this in JG Thompson's My Best that used a metal can as opposed to a bottle.

Somewhere I read the method for doing this and it was used for making spooky noises occur in someone's home.

Market it. Their are duplicate effects to everything and not everyone wants to have to dig through an obscure DVD set to find it.

I'm trying to, I've emailed Jeff Perice and ask for his help. My version is very easy to set up.

I still haven't found anything like what I'm doing with the effect, and how its done.

I'll try and post a video tonight.

That's the one we used to do in high school science class in the 1940's! I don't think the method will work with a plastic bottle, however.

William:

Contact Nefesch, he is a member of the board. He may be a bit busy at the moment as he is a finalist on Uri Geller's Successor in Greece.

I read his multiple methods for this in a manuscript a few years ago.

A few other people have published on this, but I can not recall exactly who and when (sorry). I also remember seeing an experiment on this on a science website a couple of years ago as well.

I assume you're referencing my post since I'm the only one that mentioned a source.
FYI - Thompson's My Best is hardly an obscure DVD. It is one of the major magic books of the 20th Century.

Good thoughts,

In my new book Telekinefesch
You will find a great version of this effect
in which a bottle is bent by it self WHILE YOU ARE NOT HOLDING IT.
you DO NOT TOUCH IT, it keeps bending
then you ask your spectatator to take it and examine it, I REPEAT: YOU DO NOT TOUCH IT, ONLY YOUR SPECTATOR TOUCHES IT.
then you ask him to put it any place (ground, table, whatever), and AGAIN : YOU DO NOT TOUCH IT.
Now the bottle RESTORES BY IT SELF, and you can give the bottle signed as a souvenir.

:D

There's also someone marketing an effect via either Theory 11 or Ellusionist using a glass beer or soda bottle as well. Can't think of who at the moment or what the effect was called.

Nefesch,

Sounds like one of those books that finding just one effect you can use is worth the price. You have two of the best endorsing this, and if the forward of the book wasnt enough, their words were.

Very true..visual experiences are limited in mentalism. My first focus is visual routines. Glad to see this coming out!

On another note....look at my posts number! I may retire now!
