If I could just purchase ONE of the Outlaw wallets--which one would you all recommend. The Magnum, Panther, or Showdown?

Showdown.
Seriously, it depends on what you need from a wallet. Go read the descriptions about the Magnum and Panther on the Outlaw website and see what you think. As for the Showdown, you'll have to contact Rick to find out more about it. |

I'm a big fan of The Hideout and the Magnum in combination with the latter serving as my business card case. But....I just saw video (I hope Rick doesn't kill me for sharing this) of the Showdown and that might make a convert of me. It is off the chart clever and expecting it to be of the same quality as the Hideout, it will serve my primary use with the Hidout, make a great day to day wallet and then some. I don't review until product is in hand but this does look excellent.

I admit that I know very little about the Showdown - Bill, where did you see video? How does it compare to the "Cassidy" by Nakul Shenoy?

I hope I'm not speaking out of turn here, but from what I've seen, the Showdown is an improvement on a type of wallet that I've had a longstanding love/hate relationship with. The Outlaw guys have taken the parts I hated and eliminated them (in a way that I'm kicking myself for not having thought of on my own), in addition to adding a generous helping of the kinds of cool features we've come to expect from them. I'm very optimistic about the outcome.
Every problem contains the seeds of its own solution. Unfortunately every problem also contains the seeds of an infinite number of non-solutions, so that first part really isn't super helpful.

It has the same ID window It has one flap instead of the two in the Hideout and it's a the locking flap like one of the Hideout flaps. It is a Sho-gun style wallet, with only HORIZONTAL POCKETS! BOTH WAYS looks normal any side its a switching wallet its got multiple indexes multiple peek -Rick |

For years I've loved the concept of the shogun wallet, but could never get past the "sideways" pockets. They looked funny, and there were never enough of them for use as a real wallet. The Showdown solves both of those problems; the pockets are the same as the ones in a "normal" wallet, and there are enough of them for real life use. It also incorporates the best features of some "enhanced" shogun-type wallets, as well as Outlaw's James Bond peek technology.

Seriously. This is the most amazing wallet I've EVER seen. And, it's NOT because it does any one trick, or effect, it's because it will allow me to DO ANYTHING I'll ever want to do with a wallet. I consider it a "toolbox" made in leather. And with this toolbox I can build virtually ANY effect.
Simply amazing! Benny
