First that Criss keeps doing things like this. Second that you guys seem to scour the internet to find them and then post them. I find that almost as amazing.

Clearly this guy makes some very poor choices as for what he say when he is trying to seem clever. I do wonder just how many hits like this they are willing to take.

Gotta say one thing for him though, he must have one heck of a contract writer!

Car wreck that it is, like professional wrestling this show continues to sell some tickets and it was such a big investment I don't think they can afford to close this show yet even if it is an embarassment.

Are you so sure "all" spend so much time "scouring" the internet to find crumbs of information to pass along with vicious glee? Perhaps the news comes to them? (As in Riley's Case or myself).

Nevertheless, here you are - anxious to comment, add commentary, or make sure your opinion is read, (relevant or not), and always with a bad aftertaste of disdain and cynicism.

BTW - You're repeating yourself...again! You've already played the "You guys scour..." tirade.

What's equally amazing is Danny's compulsory addiction to comment/respond to practically every Criss Angel thread on this forum and not finding the hypocrisy in his actions by lambasting others that participate.

I'll repeat my own comments - "I find this [Criss Angel] behavior inexcusable and quite appalling. I am saddened that this guy is such a blemish to the prestigious Art of Magic."

Wow that was just as incomprehensible as Criss himself.

When the little guys trash the big guys it just makes the little guys look even smaller. This is apparent to most, but never to those doing the trashing.

The heading is "Magic Names and the Media". I believe this thread falls under that category. Nobody here is not saying anything that isn't true.
Magic is a vanishing art.

This topic is about the "BeLIEve" guy and his abhorrent behavior towards volunteers and audience participants, everything else is superfluous. (Is this "trashing" or voicing comment on someone in the media?)

When the armchair quarterbacks trash the little guys, it makes the armchair guys, look like buffoons with nothing significant to contribute...as per usual.

What's the difference between a "big guy" and "little guy" anyway? Wealth, Popularity, Success in their vocation? (The question is rhetorical and doesn't solicit a response).

I wonder what our homosexual brothers and sisters have to say about this. Seems to me some folks are quick to bash the individual. To be certain there has to be a mobile video of the instance if it was so earth shattering. What about the performer being crucified? Has he or his party issued a response? The media can paint a picture however they desire. The Criss Angel camp donates to various charities and events behind the scenes. We do not hear too much about the good this artist does. You can see several different spins on topics by watching FOX, CNN, MSN, etc. Whom do you want to "Believe"? Criss Angel commands my respect because he came from nothing to become the one of the biggest names in magic. Jealousy is a bad, bad thing.

No mobile video as handys, i.e. mobile phones are forbidden into the theatre.

I have personally heard many remarks from homosexual friends, colleagues and acquaintances.

These are quotes from close friends in Hollywood - not comments from some anonymous blog.

Quote:
Well, this leaves no doubt that Criss Angel really is a ******bag.

Quote:
He's patheic.

Quote:
Angel's conduct is completely unacceptable.

If you read the stories, you'll see Criss Angel offers no explanation or apology and leaves it up to Luxor and Cirque to clean up his mess.

Quote:
Angel again not offering any apology either to his audience or, apparently, his colleagues. This speaks to his choices and his character.

Donations and charity work is a good thing, but is surly doesn't excuse bad behavior.

I've never met anyone that "commands" respect. Respect is earned.

You know people say that kind of thing every day and no one says a darn thing about it…but the minute that someone who is successful says it well then its a dilema…if people are comfortable with their sexuality then they shouldn’t be offended its only the ones that aren’t comfortable with their sexuality and who they are as a person that will find it offensive…This will never be a perfect world…if people can’t walk away and ignore it then they have a problem within themselves…im sure every one of you at one point in time has said something that offended someone else and don’t even tell me you haven’t…he who is without sin cast the first stone…

Nasty trash talk from anonymous "close friends", yes, much better than anonymous blog comments.

If I understand this correctly - if a person makes a derogatory - belittling - offensive statement towards an individual or group of persons, it's the individual/groups fault because they're offended?!? That doesn't sound quite right - How does this logic play with ethnic, religious or social class insults?

Yes Randwill - The questions was posed - What do our "Brothers and Sisters" have to say about this... I responded with quotes from friends. And it's better, for myself anyway, to read the reactions/views first person. My own brother has a very illuminating/informative opinion, but that 's between myself and him. (I do not feel compelled to reveal their names as it's none of your business). Thank you for participating...

You'd think that, after the last "offensive-word blow-up" (golly!), and the Perez Hilton debacle, Chris Angle would simply avoid any references to who his audience might-or-might-not be laying.

Is he merely too stupid to check himself? Too arrogant to care? Or is this sort of repeatedly inconsiderate behavior somehow benefiting him?

Frankly I have no clue, but perhaps that's why *I* don't have a multi-million dollar Vegas contract, and this guy does...

Oh yes we do. For example, I recall when he was on Larry King bragging about how he paid for his ex-wife's teeth whitening. A true humanitarian.

Nevertheless, I find it hard to believe he actually made such a crack to an audience member. If he had, the guy should have smacked Angle upside the head right there and then with his purse.

Like Gaddy I am surprised Angel wasn't more careful what he said after the last brouhaha. I would have thought it would have taught him that the world is full of little wannabe Joan of Arc's who can't wait for their turn to be burnt. It's just all so precious.

I'm gay and I'm not offended so please don't expend your moral outrage on my behalf. Now until a gay Café member puts their hand up to say 'I'm gay and I'm offended' perhaps we could let this silliness drop.

There are far more genuine reasons to be offended by Criss Angel.

I find that question far more interesting an aspect to explore. Why does he not check himself? It is mind boggeling to me he does not, or that Cirque' does not fit him with one of those electric dog collars to stop him.

As for "good things this artist does", well find one and we can talk about it some LOL. I am not a fan of bashing to bash like the people who constantly post this crap about him, but to be fair, he does so few (I have yet to find any actually) "good" things it is tough to really get behind them.

Answers to my own questions: He is the sort of b-list, basic-cable celebrity who wallows in his own infamy and uses it to keep himself in the camera's eye, so this type of 7th grade insult both works to that effect, and also works at the approximate maturity level of paparazzi journalism, and his fan base.

So a yes, yes and yes to my above questions.

Excellent new source of revenue - most of us would pay well to take a turn on the controller.
