Oh now that's very clever!
Even with Japanese instructions I stumbled upon the secret by just running through the presentation like in the demo. I think I'm going to have a lot of fun with this, maybe I can even work the japanese instructions into the routine for comedic effect. |

HELP!
Could somebody PM me. I received this with only 2 pages of Japanese instructions numbered 1 thru 4 and I am completely confused. Mid page on page one is a diagram showing wood grain comparisons on the block and I do not know how to use this knowledge. I can prove purchase. |

Mikame's Final Penetration is incredibly well made, but mine also came with Japanese-only instructions Thanks to Eddie, I now know how to use this fantastic little prop. As with virtually all of the late Mr. Mikame's props, Final Penetration is a beauty to examine, display, and perform. The gimmick is incredibly well-hidden and unlike many items that claim to be examinable, every piece of this trick can be handed out before and after the performance. Although the "stick" that goes through the tube is hallmarked "MIKAME," I wish the wooden tube also had a hallmark. I hope Mr. Mikame's legacy will live on and that his great creations will continue to be produced by his family. If not, I consider myself incredibly lucky to have a large collection of his original products.

I agree with Eric and Sabre above - you can hand this out and it's nearly impossible to work out, even for magicians. I also got Japanese-only instructions, and was still mystified for 40 minutes until a lucky chance tipped me off to the method. There's no way the audience will work this one out - they can shake the tube, cube and stick around as much as they like. Poke around, whatever.
I also agree with Eric - now that I have this, if I lost it or it was broken, I would go out of my way to replace it. Brilliant, brilliant stuff from the great, and sadly missed Mr. Mikame. |

Hello. I received the FP and I am amazed at how good it is. Are there any other props out there that will stand up to examination and is as mind boggling as this? Thank you.

Anyone know if they can look into the box and see the block atop/below the stick (the second time around? If not, seems angles might be tricky.

Hello everyone! Glad to see I'm not the only one stumped by the Mikame Final Penetration instructions. Got mine 2 days ago and I still can't figure it out. The pictures of wood grain patterns in the Japanese instructions only add to my confusion. Either this is one amazingly well built prop or it really uses black magic.

I believe I have good news. The Mikame Final Penetration kit is available once again. Hocus Pocus and Penguin both have it featured on their websites. Mine came today.
I said that I "believe" this is good news. After toying with mine for 20 minutes and reading the English instructions, I cannot get the brilliant secret to work regularly, but this is very worth working on. George |

I have no personal information regarding the various apparatus newly available, but I have read where some pieces evidently have had quality control issues. Ok, now back to the FINAL PENETRATION. It's a wonderful, really baffling trick; one of the best of its genre to come out in a long time. It's important you understand it is a bit "knacky" to make work reliably out of the box. Several purchasers of the original returned theirs as being "defective". As it turned out that wasn't the case at all. The fact that the apparatus is so perfectly examinable is what makes it so unique and desirable. You have the right idea regarding taking the time to get familiar with the handling and accustomed to performing it in/on your particular physical conditions. Please come back and share your performing successes with our austere group of Mikame' aficionados. Julie |
