Should the thumb be seen shooting the card like that, or because it's a flourish, it doesn't matter?

Whats the difference between this and the "long distance spinner"?

Seeing the thumb shooting the card is ok I think!

I think if you're doing a card revelation, the card shooting out of the deck should be a surprise/mystery. Going by that, seeing how it's accomplished probably isn't a great idea.
