Is there anyone here who knows about a 4 card b'wave version where any ace can be named? It would be great to do the b'wave routine without the necessary e*uiv**ue.
I'd be very pleased with your answers.

Hi there,
I believe Stephen Tucker's "Omega" packet trick qualifies for what your looking for. bigblindmedia.com sells the effect on a dvd. Or I'm pretty sure you can purchase it from his site also. Hope this helps. |

Isn´t it Parade of the Kings? It uses four cards. I have it as a German version on my (German) website and could arrange necessary values for you if you do not want to use Kings.

Look into the related work of Dai Vernon and Sam Horowitz, all of which meets your criteria. If you are resourceful enough you will be able to find a small manuscript put out by Karl Fulves, entitled "Cards #1 - Four-Card Brainwave."
Best of luck! |

Card-shark,
The Parade of the gimmicks is such a cool gimmick card. I really do like it. |

Omega by Stephen Tucker never fails to amaze but there is one thing I really don't like about the routine, which is the behind the back thing.
Parade of the kings looks nice but it's not the feeling b'wave brings to me.

Mind Surf by Dan Harlan meets your requirements, as any suit can be named. However, this so-called "improvement" comes at a cost. The suit must be named before the cards are removed from a wallet (in B'Wave the cards can be in your participant's hands from the start, way before a suit is named). Also, the cards cannot be display as openly as in Maven's original.

I can imagine it won't get as good as b'wave in terms of cleanliness but I will look it up...thank you!

Of course, if one were so inclined, the effect you describe can be accomplished with ordinary cards and sleight of hand.
Dominique Duvivier, among others had work on this plot with gaffs.

Dan Harlan has an interesting Gaffed version as well

DREAM QUEEN. I don't know why no one knows this one. ANY QUEEN CALLED FOR with 4 cards in an envelope a la Invisible deck...sort of. You can find it from $3.00 to $5.00. I use it for close up,walk around, street, restaurant and if you can play it big enough Parlor/Platform. Called for Queen has different color back too!

BTW, as Mr Guinn pointed out, sleight of hand does it as well.
I have been doing a version with a H****r wallet, two different counts/displays (depending om the named card) and a cop (no, not the uniformed one) wich makes the card packet examinable in the end). But I prefer twisted sisters. Easy and mindblowing, and a simple s****h makes the packet examonable as well. (If this is considered exposure, feel free to delete it) Mikael Johansson Sweden

Mind Surf is a pretty good version where any suit can be named. Like many g#### the handling will make or break the apparent casualness and cleanliness.
I prefer the original BWave.
