Here is a link of a performance of Unshuffled and The Cups and Balls with Steel Balls from a program I did at a TEDx event in November with Jazz Musician Marty Ashby that I thought you might enjoy.

Awesome Paul, as always. Two things I've been passionate about most of my life, jazz and magic. (Damn, why didn't I think of this?) I love the addition of the wand in the opening sequences of the cups and balls.
I know you performed this many years ago with my good friend Steve Rudolph in Mt. Gretna PA. Any plans on coming back to my area? |

Good work Paul although the C&Bs wasn't in my view as magical as usual with you standing.

Thanks for sharing this, Paul. As usual (for you)...out of the box thinking and entertaining to boot.

Nicely done, Paul. I just tweeted this for other music, magic and creativity fans. As a magic hobbyist, jazz drummer, and communications professional specializing in creativity, this appealed to me on every single level!

Saw the both the close-up act with your cups and balls and your plume act at a Midwest Magic Jubilee in Kansas City, probably early 80s. Yep. I went home, played with feathers, and shopped around hardware stores for three-inch ball bearings. (Nope, they didn't have any ...)

Thanks everyone for all the nice comments. The musician is named Marty Ashby, and he runs the Jazz program at the Manchester Craftsman's Guild here in Pittsburgh. He is a musician by profession and magic is a hobby of his. Marty has worked on shows with Mike Close, Christopher Hart plus practically every top Jazz Performer you can name. Marty and the Guild have won a number of Grammys for the Jazz DVD's they have produced. He is an amazing musician and we are working on ways to combine the music and the magic on an intelligent level so if anyone has any additional ideas please let us know. We may do the act in the Parlor at the Castle in the next few months and try and incorporate a few additional elements. Ideas????

Ideas. Yes Mr. Gertner, do your routine seated. Seated your routine is a real winner. Standing your load steals were blatant. Loved your Faro piece with the cards.
