I think Jim is also a musician and is booked in those venues. Perhaps that is why him and CA never got along. He had a million dollar challenge also. I think his biggest deal was being invited to host mindvention in Vegas. I may be wrong but I read he was one of the hosts and presenters at the big mentalist convention. He also was headlining at a theatre at the time of the show and had many interviews when the show was finished.
I did read something about a Phenomenon 2 but unsure if it was a network idea or just the fans of the show. Gosh, I did not know about the mentalist who backed out and died a year later. Did he happen to be from Germany Domino?

Yes very sad about Jason. He was moving up and fast. Great talent gone early.

It was indeed very sad about the sudden death of Jason Scott.
I actually knew Jason rather well as the two of us worked together many times doing close-up magic in restaurants (Francisco's, etc. ) here in northern California prior to his move to mentalism and Las Vegas. Regarding Mr. Callahan - welcome back.
