Stripper Deck, examinable and good for many surprising tricks that look like advanced skill.

My favorite is the Invisible Deck, but I also use the Mental Photography Deck.
Other cool decks that I use but not very often are: Svengaly and Cardtoon.

The 14 deck sold by Haines in the 1950's, if a person cuts the deck to a card then takes the next card the total of those two cards add to 14. I think this was put out by Ralph W. Hall. Its a great deck to force the number 14.

What's interesting is that the average number of gimmicked decks that people OWN (from another thread) is far higher than the average number they actually USE. It's true for myself as well. I own probably 1-2 dozen gimmicked decks but only use a couple of them.

In my case, I bought a lot of these gimmicked decks when I started doing a lot of card magic but as time has gone on, I increasingly prefer to use a normal deck. It's like Allan Ackerman says, the frequency with which one performs a given effect is inversely proportional to the number of special gimmicks and props required.

Ultimate Marked Deck
Forcing Deck (ribbon spread, selection, deck switch)
Invisible Deck (regular and jumbo)

Jay sent you a pm. With a very practical, easy solution that also rids you of the wear to the long card problem.

I'm the same way, I just use regular cards. I figured the easiest way to dissuade the idea that I'm "using a trick deck" is to not be using a trick deck.

That being said, the Ultra-Mental Deck allows for some pretty solid effects and one is sitting on my shelf waiting for me to need it for something. Not a huge fan of the Invisible Deck effect because when I've seen it done it always felt insincere, but the deck is good for predictions and that kind of thing.
