Hi
I am looking for an old effect and can't find it. You have 3 clear glasses; you put a color silk in each glass. You put the glasses on a box or wood platform, turn it around and the glasses want fall. You than remove the silks and the glasses still want fall. You turn it around and pick up the glasses. There is a similar effect with two glasses and a wooden wand. Who name the name of this effect and it is still on the market? Thanks Eran

I've never seen this done with three glasses. A version with two glasses is described on page 136 of _Scarne's Magic Tricks_ as "The Literary Glasses" in which a small book is wrapped in a handkerchief and two glasses are suspended from it. I think Lewis Ganson may also have had a version in one of the _Routined Manipulations_ volumes. In one version (perhaps the Ganson one), I think silks were also in the glasses (with a corner poking outside the glasses) when the book was turned upside down. Then the silks were pulled out of the glasses.

Hi Amado
Thanks, this is the effect. You can do it with two glasses or with three.
