I was looking at different commercial offerings and I was not entirely happy with what I saw. The mechanical knives look obvious in how they work and they are much too large. They look like a magic prop, not a real knife.

So, I went back to how they used to be made for inspiration. I made a three of them in the style of the knife illustrated in the Discouverie of Witchcraft. The blades are aluminum aged to look old. The handles are oak with hand cut washers and steel pins, peened on the ends. It looks like an old knife because it is made like an old knife.

Depending on how wide the opening is, it can go into the arm as well.
