LOL!

(Actually, it brings many quips to mind, but I'll let it go at that.)

I thought it was pretty funny as well, but wondered what pro clowns would think of it. Pro clowns?

Not the greatest PR for clowns. The John Wayne Gacy impersonators probably enjoyed it though.

So that was Walmart eh? I hit the mute & ignore button at blood curdling screams from the TV. Seems to be a trend in ads. (I can do without.)

That's right. And sirens too.

From Wikipedia:

Coulrophobia is abnormal or exaggerated fear of clowns. The term is common, but it does not appear to be used in psychology. It is common among children, but is also sometimes found in teenagers and adults as well.[citation needed] Sufferers sometimes acquire a fear of clowns after having a bad experience with one personally. It can also be the effect of seeing a sinister portrayal of one in the media,[citation needed] such as the monster that took on the disguise of a clown in Stephen King's novel and film It.

Coulrophobia can also be said to extend to a fear of covering up one's face with paint—the idea of hiding recognisable features under a layer of facepaint can also unsettle coulrophobia sufferers.

Symptoms of coulrophobia can be shortness of breath, rapid breathing, irregular heartbeat, sweating, nausea, dreadfulness.

In July 2006 the Bestival, a three-day music festival held in England, had to withdraw a request to festival goers to come dressed as clowns due to the unexpectedly high rate of coulrophobia among the potential audience.[

Didn't one of the guys on Celebracadabra have a fear of clowns that extended to "Silly Billy", who doesn't even wear makeup?

That WAS funny. Now I wonder how many of those girls, or even children in genral, watched this and are now afraid of clowns?

Smile The adds are better than the shows in between.
If there is a single truth about Magic, it is that nothing on earth so efficiently evades it.

More kids are afraid of Santa than clowns.
Some grownups hate clowns. I've had people pull guns on me twice and another tried to run me over with his truck. Had to dive into the bushes as everyone applauded. They thought it was part of the act.
That was my last day as a clown.

Oh, thank you. Wally world doesn't pay me enough to dress or act like that!
(They are considering a "talent show" to raise money for the Hasbro Children's Hospital and asked if I'd do a little magic. I'm thinking about it.)
