The biggest problem with this trick is reseting it. FAB magic of Colon, Mi. has come out with a hollow plastic version that can be reset in a few seconds. A great trick for $25.

The best thing about this is that the silks start out the same length and finish the same length.
I never saw that in any other set.
I was impressed!

It plays well, packs small, and gets big laughs.

There are many video's of this trick up on youtube. It is called "acrobatic silk", if I were more skilled on the computer I would post you a link, but I'm not so this is the best I can do.

Al,
Thanks for letting me know it is on youtube. Once I saw the video I knew what you were talking about. Here is a link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VU8DF-7h5ns

I had one of these and could never get it to stay in place reliably.

Thanks for the nice compliments guys. It actually evolved out of frustration on my part. I always liked the effect - easy to carry and always worked well - however, the silks came undone during a show and I vowed never to perform it again until one day working in the back workshop I was just about ready to throw out the wooden poles we had - because we manufactured them as well... but instead I just started playing around with the idea of making it more 'user friendly' and that is how I came up with the idea. As a magic dealer I try to put myself in the shoes of the performer - since I have been performing for nearly 40 years - I pretty much know what works and doesn't work from a performer and audience perspective. The new version works great. It's inexpensive and resets instantly and I believe it is more deceptive as well.

Got it Rick! Thanks for the quick shipment. I agree with Jef, I like the fact that the silks are the same length both before and after the change takes place.

I will also say that Rick's customer service is top notch. He shipped this out quickly, and the next day I had some other props that I needed quickly, and he packed them up right after I spoke with him on the phone. Thanks Rick, I appreciate it.

Rick, Thanks. I received my order really quick. Customer service was great. I had also ordered two other items the were not in stock. Rick sent a hand written note saying they would forward the other items later, he didn't want me to wait for the acrobatic silks.

Look forward to ordering from FAB Magic again.

Thanks again.

The acrobatic silks look beautiful.

We are about to introduce this in a mini version which will work great for those working restaurants and strolling - uses 9" silks.

I just bought a FAB Acrobatic Silks and it's still a bargain at $30. I can reset it in a minute and I don't get frustrated, like with a wooden version - it's easy to reset. It works perfectly smooth, too.

This trick is my newest and one of my most favorite trick to do for either adults, or children. I am getting better with it all the time, and it is amazing how many cheap laughs you can get with it. I'll probibly buy another soon, because I just couldn't live with out this one.

BTW It also fits nicely into my brief case.

With such a warm recommendation, I just had to buy it. I've been doing Middle Diddle Silk, but the prop is made of cardboard and I've gone through three of them in about as many years. I think this will nicely replace the Middle Diddle with pretty much the same affect and, hopefully, will last longer. BTW, it's $30, but you have to add about $10 for shipping, so figure on paying about $40.

In spite of the increased price this one is a keeper. When you compare it to the price of a Wolf's trick "acrobatic Silks" is nothing more than a drop in the bucket, and 10 years from now this one will still be one of your favorites.

Well, as I said, I bought the trick. I find it's easy to do, easy to set and gets nearly as strong a reaction as I was getting from the Middle Diddle trick. I suspect that as I continue performing it, the performance will get stronger and so will the reaction. It fits nicely in my magic suitcase--packs tight, plays big.

Every show I do this trick gets bigger laughs/applause, so my advise to you is to milk it for all it's worth.
