Regarding the Royal wallet, it depends on how you wish to do the effect. In general, if you are taking the card to the wallet, you would need to palm...

Does hip pocket Mullica or pimpernal notecase allow to do a palm and non palm version with the same wallet?

I am looking for a wallet, too but I have absolutly no experience with magic wallets. I'd like to do a card to wallet effect and therefore need one. If the wallet could do switches, this would be nice but not necessary.
Looking around I found this wallets which got good reviews and have a nice look (Hideout for example looks odd for me): Pimpernel Notecase - $100 JOL Plus Wallet (small) - $100 Mullica Wallet - $58 Mesika Wallet - $45 Royal Card to Wallet - $22 Though I am new to magic the wallet should not be too expensive and - more important - easy to handle. Considering the price I would be happy if the "Royal Card to Wallet" is the right choice for me. Can someone tell me something more about this wallet, above all what you can do with it and if you need to palm cards, which is quite hard for me due to having small hands. Thanks! P.S.: If anyone could recommend a good and cheap wallet I would be glad. |

My choice is the royal card to wallet. great price and great quality. you can either use a palm to load the wallet or you can use a mercury fold, either one will allow you to EASILY load the wallet. I personally like to mercury fold the card, then load.

Thank you for you post and PM!
My problem with the royal card to wallet is that I read in serveral posts that the loading opening is quite small so people had problems to get the card into the wallet without folding (what I like to do). This wallet also looks good, but costs more: http://www.penguinmagic.com/product.php?ID=911 |

That's the hip pocket Mullica. A no palm wallet and great reviews here.

Triple Threat Wallet from Tony Miller is the best, in my opinion.

Which wallet that can be used for mentalism and CTW routine? I once watched the SAW DVD from a friend but I'm not sure if it's good for CTW routine.

Do you mean that it's the best book you know? Or perhaps that of those you know it's the best book for you? Also curious - how many books do you know? "Best" - AM.

If I could respend my money, I would buy a real man's wallet for a card to wallet effect.
and the Mullica I would buy for other options, because I came to consider it very versatile.

I have to add my praise for the Royal card-to-wallet (although it's been said elsewhere). Good construction and ample room. I'm fitting a ton of other things in there so I've got a 1-man show in my pocket at all times. There's a "World's Greatest Magic" DVD with C2W routines as well.

What's the dimension or size of the Hip Pocket Mullica Wallet by Anthony Miller?
Is Nathan Kranzo's Hip Pocket Mullica Wallet bigger than his? I heard that the one from Anthony Miller is pretty short that you have to fold the end side of the bill so it can fit the billfold? I'm looking for ANOTHER wallet that looks like regular wallet, not a big wallet like Himber or JOL. But I want it to allow me to do no palm CTW and peeking ability. If it's possible, a billet switch feature is also nice. I know that SAW or Showdown have these features but I'm looking for other options. Thanks in advance.

Interesting - the latter part of this thread was just pointed out to me. Well, actually only Mr. Musgrave's post. So,although it's months past, it will make me feel better to respond. Simple response to Mr. Musgrave - PLEASE DON'T PUT WORDS IN MY MOUTH! Thanks. Where did I EVER say that anything of mine is the BEST? Yes, there have been other threads about this, and that has always been my "scream" - you can't say anything is "best" unless you know them all. What I was referring to in this thread is someone's "best answer" to a question - neither of which I can find on this thread now. But, Mr. Musgrave, please give one example of where I EVER said or wrote that anything of mine is BEST. Yes, I'm stupid, but not THAT stupid. OTHERS HAVE SAID IT; I haven't. So, to repeat, please stop putting words into my mouth. Thanks - HL.
