I like Don's finesse on the vanish. I think that must be his. I like the way the card is shown between the spread fingers until the last moment. I picked up something useful from the video.

There's good magic... and bad magic... and everything in between. What constitutes "good" magic is subjective, of course, but most respected sources agree that;
1) Good magic is not confusing; if your audience can't follow a routine's plot from premise through climax to conclusion then the routine probably needs work. 2) Good magic is deceptive; the more effort undertaken to ensure that the most alert and most astute members of your audience are fooled the better your magic will be. While not an exhaustive list by any means, I say the routine that is the subject of this thread fails both those tests. If someone wishes to debate that position it might actually be helpful for other readers. TW
