Doubt you'll get a very good 1-balloon version, but I would think a heart balloon partially inflated would get you a nice bill.

This why you are getting these requests. Phineus & Ferg are very popular. I make a green hat (go figure) with a loop and a double bubble. Then add orange 160 piece sized for the bill and tail. Marker to taste....

I use 2 balloons. a 160 for the bill and a 260 for the rest.
you might be able to do something good with a 160... why one balloon? don't get me wrong, I like doing things with one balloon as it is harder to do. more of a challenge for me, but I don't think I have ever had someone ask for less balloons.

1 balloon - loop for bill, loop for face, roll thru body with shorter roll thru bubble to make the other two favor fins/hands, 2 loops for feet and the rest of the balloon loops around and ties into the legs for the tail. You can do the basic dog ears for the face/eye bubbles instead of a loop. Hope that helps! You can also write "Platypus" on the side with a marker. I'm actually not kidding. Sometimes as a last resort that can work!
