Anyone have any idea how to make one of these?

What is it for?

It is the Saints Football Team symbol. I live just outside of New Orleans.

I, too, have had requests for a fleur de lis, made out of balloons. I have tried a couple things, but it just doesn't come out looking right.

That is very similar to the one I made. Mine was not a hat, and it was much smaller though. For some reason, the person I made it for didn't seem to be very impressed with it. I guess you can't please everyone.
By the way, I missed your article in the last issue of The Magic Menu. I was looking forward to it.

I made a larger fleur de lis tonight (similar to the one Mark pictured), at one of my restaurants, And it was a big hit. I ended up having 5 or 6 other people, at different tables, wanting one, after they saw it. Thanks Mark !!

Unfortunately, I don't normally carry a camera with me, when I go to any of the restaurants that I work. So, I don't have pics. I will make another one, here at home, and post a pic for you. It really looks like the one Mark made though. I'll post pic soon.

That looks good. If you were near Miami you would be making a ton of them I'm sure. If I see the pic right it is three black 260's tied at the end with a yellow 260 wrapped around twice attached to the hat. Mind if I use it?

2 black 1 260 1 160 and 160 golden rod.

Make the bottom 3 loops then split the remainder into two large loops.
make hat and loop the stick.
twist three large loops together
use 160 goldenrod the accent the center and create stability
