I know the 'flash silk pro.' have been discussed to the extremes, but my question may be a unique variant.

I am looking for a flash appearance of a 24" silk, but using a method that allows the sleeves to be rolled back, and the production to come later in the routine.

I have heard about Vito Lupo pop silk production, but I believe it relies completely on the sleeves. In my searches Berlands instant silk appear also was discussed, but I am unaware if the method is sleeveless.

Furthurmore, I have examined extensively the Rice works. Beautiful array of information, however I was curious if there is something outside of his works which may suit my needs. If another has not ventured in the direction in which I am traveling in terms of instant sleeveless silk productions, there are some elements from the Rice works which I can adapt.

And good day to you now.

As a side note, I will be facing the audience completely before the production. I I'm vested in a vest, with a ruffled front shirt, circa victorian era garb.

Without tipping any method, get Levent's Manipulation DVD. Levent has really done some great work on not only his manipulation act but also getting in and out of props and producing silks as a part of his act. I think you will some ideas that will get you where you want to go.

Eleazar Goodenough (currently renamed as Wiz Kid Ee-Gee-Fiki) described his T-Shirt Magic in The Wizards' Journal #7. The same methods he uses for T-shirt magic will, of course, work for any other sleeveless shirt situation.

If your sleeves are rolled up, but your elbow is still covered, you can do the pop silk appearance a la Shwartzman.

24" silk might be to large for the Sanada gimmick.

Change the routine. Or use a vanishing cane.

McBride uses a hybrid flash appearance. He is using the sleeve, but the principle could be just as effective from the chest area.

I watched him do it during a lecture. It is a hybrid move stemmed from an old Shwartzman sleeve move. But, as I said, to suit your purposes it could be modified for your needs. It is generally an opener due to the mechanics of the production.

Vito Lupo's large silk production does not need the sleeves. Try to use dove magic methods to produce the silk.

Vito's barehanded silk production is documented in his lecture notes.

Simple, yet beautiful.
