Some very funny use of music in Derren Brown's 'Enigma' show.

Just to reiterate, as I alluded to earlier, learn copyright law. Something with a creative commons license doesn't necessarily mean it's free to use for your shows. Always contact the owner of the IP, even if it seems to be in the public domain. Never hurts to be thorough.

Just trying to keep everyone from getting sued.

Good words PJJ --

I have now spent two sleepless nights auditioning and downloading the new BG intro and goodbye segments to my seance .. and ended up wasting time listening to old Jack Benny pieces, Grouch0 Marx, and spending productive time getting some pre-1900 stuff to start the seance mood.

If you have the technical ability, music is priceless. It creates an emotion very few of us can match with the spoken word. Try watching a movie without the music sound track and you will see what I mean.

hahaha not sure how current it is, will people still remember the tune?.. I guess they could.

oh and I totally agree with you on the Theatre experience, those were a great points you made.. is all about the experience (entertainment) you bring to your audience.

I wouldn't critize you for using song, I totally think that a song could make the routines even better that's why I started this thread.
since on the dvds of mentalism and mentalism shows I watched, I couldn't recall routines being used with music.

Kind of a bizarre trend lately. Quote a five or ten year old post, and then reply with a non-substantive two word statement (like "I agree!" or "Great advice!")

What's the point? Just to run up the post count?
