I'm late on this...
I have used a BON on the street quite a bit for my circle shows. It plays well, but is a pain in the bum to cart around. Smashing a brick is something I tried but ditched. You have to get rid of all of the brick scraps between shows AND you are adding 30 lbs of weight for every show. Really not worth the payout unless you are doing only one or two shows before heading home. Spring loaded nails- Please tell me you are not even considering this. And you have already found the perfect source for info. Harley is the Yoda when it comes to the Bed of Nails and how to perform it. Follow his advice to the letter. Gwyd |
