I just had a semi-relevant thought. I know that the guy is a real (body part reference omitted), but he has a big following. He also lives in San Francisco and hates what the current administration has done to the city. That's Michael Savage.
If you present this to him as a right to free speech issue that is constitutionally protected, and you let him know that it is fun, family-friendly entertainment by a long-time professional, I'll bet he would go for it right off the bat.

There is movement in this case, but I'm not 100% happy with how it's going down. I don't want to go into too much detail. It looks like I'm going to be "allowed" to perform there on a limited schedule under their "Jewels in the Square" program.
I've still got a "permit application" outstanding with the parks department, and my next move depends on weather or not this is approved or denied. I'm 99% certain it will be denied, which means I'll have to appeal it, which probably means retaining the services of an attorney. Bill thank you for the suggestion. Media contact is my next move before sending a letter on "legal letterhead". I'm also keeping Stephen Baird Esq. informed as to how this situation develops. Although he's not actively participating in this action, he's expressed interest.

If you want to take that rather extreme route we'll gladly send down Mr. Burger (of Seattle vs. Burger) to get arrested in your stead. It's the least we can do to help out our sister city

Leave us not forget to mention Grimes Poznikov.
Google him and you will find quite the story, sad though its ending was, fascinating nevertheless. He more than stood his own against Daryl and Harry Anderson during their busking days (as one of them ruefully told me).

That's a sad story. I remember seeing Grimes Poznikov during one of his television appearances, perhaps Charles Kuralt on the Road.

Yep, San Francisco uses people, chews them up, and spits them out. It's true.
I suppose every city does so, but for a city that likes to tout it's "Liberalism" it certainly has a habit of stamping on anyone's rights who's last name doesn't begin with NIKE, MICROSOFT, AT&T, COMCAST or PG&E to name a few. They're going to fight me every step of the way on this, that much has been made clear to me.

The park is used in part for a art display some weekends. Those weekend I have been told the entire park is "rented" and I can't busk. Also, I have tried to busk outside our large Zoo inside a public park and been told the around the Zoo is ran by a Private Foundation, largely funded by my tax dollars and been told to leave the area by security guards. The guards, nice folks for renta-cops, even told they had been told to look out for me specifically and move me out. In Boston you can audition and be scheduled to perform a street act in front of Fanuel Hall, but just busking around the area is discourage by the private management. Not that you can busk with out harassment in most places in NYC, but I understand the pavilions around Union Station are NYC is in danger of being run by a private corporation making them of limits to political free speech - there are hundreds of years of history for this area being used for political free speech. And, don't even get me going about LA! Good Luck Gaddy, keep up the good work!
