A new effect from the depths of Craig Petty's mind. Yes, Yes we know. The devils must have his soul.

Too bad I won't be there. I wish they would move the venue more central such as Birmingham, or even better, Portsmouth.

HOLY MOLEY! Isn't this quite similar to a Jay Sankey effect????
It would really be quite tragic

It's a similar thing to Sankeys buy the looks of it but using keys, logically, is far better then pulling random washers out. Also, Sankeys effect, as far as I remember is only the one stage. The kicker ending of the hole being in the centre of the key is just dynamite. I think overall, this looks like a wicked product.

Keymaster makes me want to dig out Greg Wilson's Freakey from my junk drawer. Not saying Freakey is junk, I've just never performed a routine with it.

Looks great!! I perform Holy Moly all the time. This gives the concept a further reason. Some people wonder why you carry washers.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for posting the link to the trailer Alan!

Keymaster is one of my favourite effects to perform and never fails to get a great response from the audience. Although a couple of you have mentioned Jay Sankey's Holy Moly my initial inspiration for the effect was actually Michael Close's Pothole Trick. Having said that I can understand how the idea of moving a hole from one object to another can draw comparisons to Sankey's effect. There are, however, a number of differences with keymaster.

Firstly it would look odd in the places that I perform if I pulled out a couple of washers (especially at a high end corporate function). Keys are far more organic especially in a seemingly impromptu performance. Having keys means they can be hung on your key fob with your other keys and you are ready to perform at a moments notice.

More importantly having the hole go back on the original key but on the stem is a kicker that the spectator's never see coming and literally hits them right between the eyes. On the DVD I also explain the 'Ghost Hole Principle' which allows you to show the hole on the key and without switching the key in any way pull the hole off in front of the spectator's eyes. Finally the Keymaster routine is not the only routine on the DVD. I also explain the 'Gatekeeper' routine on the DVD which is a super practical one key routine. The hole on a key is visibly slid down the stem of the key and then thrown back onto the key in mid air. This is then repeated while the key is in the spectator's hands. The best part is that everything is examinable at the beginning, in the middle and at the end and there is an instant reset.

Anyway, I hope that answers some of your questions. If anyone wants to know more just let me know.

Thanks again guys for your interest

Thank you for the neat demo video.

The effect looks very nice. The performance was very smooth with well paced timing & patter. Every time the spectator opened his fist, he was in for a surprise with the effect ending in a grand kicker finale.

This is a nice 1-on-1 effect that will play well in the real world – Small props that plays big!

KeyMaster is on my next purchase list. I was sold after watching the demo video. Smile Smile

Just my opinion!

I love this routine and it suits the style of events that I work. If I pulled out a washer in a paid gig I would get laughed out of the place regardless of how good the magic claims to be. The keys add many more possibility's and are a very elegant fix to this. I happily pull these out during ALL my events.. Fantastic, well structured routine from a Real world, down to earth working magician.

Ps. Again the demo is great! Im biased on the demo but I love it lol

I actually pull out a washer and get a laugh. I love the laughs. There are so many lines you can come up with for the washer too.

Thanks everyone for all the positive feedback about keymaster. The amount of
emails I have had has been overwhelming.

As I mentioned the Keymaster routine is just the tip of the iceberg.
In the 'Gatekeeper' routine a hole is visibly slid down the stem of a key
and off only to fuse back onto the key in midair. This all happens in the
hands of the spectator. Finally the Ghost Hole principal is fully explained.
This is where the project began and was directly inspired by Michael Closes
'Pothole' effect. This principal will allow you to show the hole in the key
and take it off with no switches.  As you can see from the titles I am a
huge Ghostbusters Fan!

I will see if I can post a video performance of the Gatekeeper routine later
on this weekend so that everyone can see how much potential this set offers.

The problem is I am super busy with gigs at the moment and I have to prepare
for Blackpool next week. If I do have time to post a video it will be on
World Magic Shop's Facebook Page at http://www.facebook.com/worldmagicshop Become a
fan and you will be aware of it as soon as it happens.

Thanks again

Portsmouth??????? Central?????? ROFL.

Then it wouldn't be a Blackpool convention. The fact it is in Blackpool doesn't seem to stop magicians from all over the world going. It's also difficult to find a theatre as big as the Winter Gardens which for Blackpool convention is always packed to capacity. Moving the biggest most successful magic convention in the world to another location would not make sense. But if they do, perhaps they could move it to Reading PA Smile

Hi Guys,
As he said, Craig is very busy at the moment but we will try to get ‘The Gatekeeper’ routine uploaded this weekend so you can see the huge potential of this set.
I was there when Craig filmed the DVD for this and it really does kill.
All the best,
David
