Hi everyone, I would like to build a few illusions, and have of course come acrrossed many books and pamphlets. The one I am curious about is Paul Osborne's Classic Illusions. Can I have some feedbook on the book, ie how easy are the plans to follow, how accurate are the plans. Ect ect.

Hi the plans are a lot better than some some of the old unmeasured drawings from the past. I built a box illusion for a friend a few years back. although I prefer the Thayer Blueprints that was released some years ago. its two volumes hardcover. A bit pricey but worth it. These blueprint were also sold at a shop in Akron,Ohio in large format. The Chrystal Casket blue print is one large sheet and amazing.

Anyone who works with large illusions will probably tell you that illusion building is a highly specialized trade and no matter how good the plans or blueprints are, one is always well advised to enlist the services of an experienced professional illusion designer/builder rather than going the DIY route. It will save you time, money, aggravation and disappointment in the long run.
Just my $0.02 (from someone who has been there, done that BTW)

Believe me if I could afford them I would jsut buy them, but I don't. Im only 16, so I have a limited budget. My dad and I have fun building things together, and have built other illusions as well, they have come out pretty good. We are both pretty handy with wood and painting ect.
