I hope this stunt brought this Dean guy the kind of attention he wanted. It does come off as derivative of Blaine. It would have been more of a achievement if he had done something original, or at least, a reinvention of something old (such as what Blaine did with the frozen alive stunt.) There are many, many old stunts that are just waiting to be brought back to life.
