Got this back from Tom today:

Thanks for the nice words...I've been in the hospital for 6 weeks now and hope to be released for a week home before starting my next phase of chemo. I appreciate you taking the time to write...it meant a lot to me.

Just wrote him a short letter. I hope it finds him well.

It says here that there is a benefit for Tom in Branson and for those who can not attend donations are being accepted.

You can now send cards to another address, listed on his site: http://tommullica.com/news.html

I remember Tom's impromptu series on VHS and wearing that thing out. Cool guy, class act. My thoughts will be with his loved ones as he battles on.

The benefit show was a big success. It really was great to see the generosity of others to help out someone in need. They announced a total of 851 in attendance. There was also a silent auction and they auctioned some things from the stage to help raise more money.

It was amazing how many people stepped up to help Tom through this difficult time. There was such a wonderful show of support from everyone; the folks that allowed free use of the theater, the entertainers that volunteered to perform (many more than they had time for), the businesses that donated items for the auction, all the attendees and everyone else involved.

Although the show was the secondary reason I attended, I thought it was great as well. The highlight for me was The Great Tomsoni & Co. It's not every day you get to see Johnny Thompson in Branson, MO, especially for ten bucks.

Tom prerecorded a message for the audience. He really wanted to be there but due to his condition he is not supposed to be around crowds. I thought he looked pretty good considering all he has been through.

Here's to a speedy and thorough recovery for Tom and hope to see him back on stage in 2011.

Go to http://tommullica.com/index.html for updates and information on where to send cards and donations.

How is Tom doing? I have several of his DVDs and I really love them! I hope he is doing ok.
Take a look at healthy eating - veggies, aloe vera drink, Kombucha. Little meat or sugar. No smoking.

I spoke to him in November after he did his Red Skelton tribute show in Lawrenceburg, IN and he said he is in complete remission and he looked great. Healthy and fit.

I am so glad that Tom is back. I would LOVE to see his Red show. I loved that guy when I was a kid!
