Right and Wrong
by Bob Solari © 2010 Effect: Performer spreads a deck face up between his hands asking a spectator to think of any card [no force]. For example, lets assume the spectator calls out the three of hearts. The three of hearts is removed from the spread and displayed face up. The deck is now given one cut burying the three of hearts in the center of the deck. The performer explains, "The reason you thought of the three of hearts is because for some reason it feels 'right' to you. The other 51 cards for some reason felt 'wrong' to you." The performer turns the deck face down showing the word "wrong" boldly across its back. Suddenly, one card has the word "right" written across its back. This card is dealt onto the table face up, its the three of hearts!!! The remainder of the cards are shown to all have the word "wrong" written across their backs. Easy to do, no sleight of hand, quick reset, no force, no rough and smooth, learn in minutes. Bicycle® cards Price: $12.95 I just received my Right and wrong by Bob Solari along with a Full zipper Imakulate ring flight. I am reviewing Right and wrong here as it is new ,Ring flight has been reviewed here. The effect is simple and right to the punch. It is exactly as described above. The effect has a great impact , the spectator cant believe it , Every one loved it and its so easy to do. Clever ,unique, and amazing . Its another typical Bob Solari effect it gets a great response easy to do and so reasonable what more can you want? Any one looking for an easy to do but well thought out effect should get this all I can say is How does he keep coming up with these ideas? Thanks Bob!! |

I just saw an effect like this on my recently purchased (although it is an old DVD) Three Ring Circus by Jay Sankey. All of the cards say "NO" while the one that you choose ends up saying "YES" . . .
It would really be quite tragic

As AnthonyJD said, Right and Wrong is yet another winner from Bob Solari. Clever and to the point, it could not be easier to perform. This is truly a keeper.

Wow! I got this in the mail and immediately performed it for some friends. As Bob has said, don't let the simplicity fool you..it packs a wallop. My only suggestion would be to have a duplicate of the "special" card so instead of cutting the deck, you place the card on the table and having the card still there so no need for a wrist kill. If you have it, know of it, or getting it, that will make sense. By all means, get this one. I keep saying, if one of my all time idols was still alive (Karrell Fox) he would love Bob's effects.

Does it all end clean? The chosen card I assume can be examined?
Sounds good! Jon Hackett

The chosen card cannot be examined but why bother if not being chased. I have changed the handling to work better for me and have passed it on to Bob.

Hi actually had some one ask if they can rub the word "right" as bold as it may sound I let them, Floored them! Also I too have emailed Bob Solari because I added an "extra special card too. Love it.

I just received Right And Wrong and it's super. The handling is simple and effective, but I'd love to hear more about some of the alternate handlings above (by charliemartin and AnthonyJD). I do like Bob's handling too because it's direct: Ask a spectator to freely think of any card from a face-up deck, the deck is turned face down and spread and the only card with "Right" written on its back is the chosen card...all the others have the word "Wrong". An excellent effect!

Well you all sold me so I ordered mine and like all of Bobs effects this one is clever. I tried it out at work today and I also let someone rub the back of the card. One of the people watching said "no da_m way". This particular method can also be used in so many other different ways. I too would like to hear about the alternate handlings.

I recently purchased this from Bob knowing it would be similar to some other versions I have seen in the past though slightly different. It is similar but different in a better way.
After working it at the bar and a few table to table events, I made up a version for a corporate luncheon event I was performing at ;featuring the company's logo - the fact that the head marketing officer was present resulted in getting pre-booked for their 2010 holiday party. Was that worth my $12.95? You bet. Great effect, and one of those where the spectator is "always right" - you can't go wrong with something like that. |

The thing about Bob's material is that whatever you buy from him, you know that you will get a well crafted gimmick, a solid audience-tested routine and a great price. If that is what you are looking for when you buy a magic product (and who of us is not) then check out Bob's products.
"Right and wrong" is simple, plays big, has a lot of room for adding your own personality and is well constructed. It may or may not live up to the 134 different questions people ask on Magic Café whenever a new product is released (can this be examied, can that be examined, can it be done in red backed cards, can my dog do it, etc.) But considering the amount of cr*p magic that is out there today, Bob's stuff stands near the top. I love Bob's stuff..and this one is a keeper, I carry it with me all the time because you can script corporate images to it..great for trade shows. Great for restaurants, It's not expensive and it has the highly anticipated reaction built right in.
