Hello everyone,
I am working on a project where an object appears from a mirror lying on the table. It seems that I might have something here and like to add other effects. I am able to make a face appear but want to run this by you guys. I thought of this a few hours ago and have just tried it. I think that it really looks cool!!!!! Using the same idea of making a face appear from a mirror, I think that I now have something better. The senace (or part of it) would involve a women's finger ring. After using the ring as a pendulum for maybe a L&D test or what ever you like, you place the finger ring onto the mirror and everyone places their fingertips around the edge of the round mirror. With the room lights out and candles burning you give a few suggestions to the sitters to enhance their experience (You guys know what I mean). Anyway, when the time is right, a ghostly women's hand appears in the mirror. The ghost hand appears with the finger ring lying over the 4th finger. Giving the illusions that it belongs to the living impared women who is now trying to place her finger into the ring. It looks as if she is wearing it (sort of) LOL It looks wild...... Here is my question, if you had a mirror that you could make an item/object/face appear from within, what would it be and how would you use it. I already mention a finger ring and a women's ghostly hand trying to once again wear it. I hope that this isn't overkill when less is more. Best Ray Noble |

Telekinesis and teleportation are pretty overkill to begin with, so if you are playing this with seriousness, then why not go even bigger? Conjur up a living being, a creature from the "mirror universe" if you will?

I did that years ago, I made a face apprears in the mirror at candlelight. Wherever was the candleflame, the image appears in the reflection of the flame.
The face was either the spirit in the mirror OR the mirror's reflection of a ghost in the room. (I just modified a hologram to make a black mirror) You just need to glue a hologram plate on a mirror, it works too. |

I've tried several ways of getting a face to appear in a mirror but, so far, haven't got it right.
Any tips would be very much appreciated. Please P.M. me if you'ld like to help. Thanks.

Anything from Jay, is going to be GOOD! So get your copy of his Seance book. I thought that I may had something that was cool. I guess that I just re-invented the wheel. You don't need to use any candles in the way that I do it plus it looks better in complete darkness. The mirror is handled by the spectators before it is placed on the table. I use old ideas that has been around forever. It is how I use everything that throws people off (I hope). I will do this for myself for now because to me it still looks really cool. LOL I would like to use a toe switch so that I can operate it from a distance, but have no idea how to construct one. Thanks for sharing your thoughts with me, time to move on to other things. I've always wanted to build one of these, but have never gotten around to it:

Thamiel - removing your post here and moving the reference down to the secret portion would be appropriate - so the pointer to the secret is not generally available.
But - thank you for the reference - I just wish it was not generally avaialbe to the "just curious" here. What the original sire dopes is there business.....

Didn't think it would be a problem here, as it is a very common addition to haunted house attractions, and found all over the 'net. That being said, if some admin wants to remove it, I understand.

I agree that what you posted is common knowleage to haunted houses and other attractions. I didn't post the method that I use or any other because I knew that I was talking to people who knew about these things. LOL Now image the mirror without the frame, just glass with a sliver/black back being used and you now have what I put together. Ray |
