GRB 090423 - approximately 13.035 billion light years apparently.

Very nice.

Let's bring that 13 billion-years-ago event right to your consciousness:

So if GRB 090423 was "there" 13 billion years ago, where is it now?

One of the things that makes my brain hurt is that when we look up there, we are not seeing the universe as it is now, but as it was over a period of time stretching billions of years. Some objects are thousands of light years away, others five or six light years away. Which means we're seeing them where they were at that point in "our" time, not where they are now.

I believe I'll make this the furthest thing from my mind. Ouch.

If you're thinking about it - it's quite large in your inner world, larger then the question about what color shirt the newsman is going to wear tomorrow, right?

The furthest thing from my mind would be the last thought I have before I die.

From conception to- hopefully 90 healthy years. My last thought at 90 will be the furthest thought I'll ever have.

The total understanding and comprehension of infinity or eternity, oh I know what the word mean but...
Our friends don't have to agree with me about everything and some that I hold very dear don't have to agree about anything, except where we are going to meet them for dinner.
