Beneath the Royal mile...find Mary Kings Close.
Drink Scotch. |

I found Mary King's Close to be something of a disappointment - try the 'City of the Dead' tour at Greyfriars Churchyard.
Much more interesting! Leslie.

Have they turned it into a tourist attraction? How has the Witchery done over the years? I wish I was going. |

The Witchery is still going great, one of my favourite hotels.
Stop in the Library Room where you have to push the bookcase to find the secret entrance to the bathroom, amazing place. Plus you have Roslyn Chapel from the climax of the Davinci Code about 20 mins drive south from Edinburgh, worth a visit if you fancy trying to unravel the mysteries of the Templars! |

But the best tale is of The Mackenzie Poltergeist and the 'Black Mausoleum'. I include elements of the story in my 'Terrifying Tales' presentation. You can read about it in 'The Ghost That Haunted Itself': http://www.amazon.co.uk/Ghost-That-Haunt......40184825 Leslie
