I have Motorola RAZR V3 Mobile phone. its an old model.
Past few weeks I've been called 2-3 times a day by a nuisance caller. Anybody knows how to stop this ?? I use orange pay as you go. |

1. Stop paying that bill
2. Turn phone off/take batteries out 3. Sell phone [get it, sell phone? eh? eh?] 4. Leave phone at home
You know why don't act naive.

Is the caller a phone solicitor, stalker, bill collector, what? Need more info.

It comes from a call centre asking for somebody who I am not.
The same "company" sends me text messages. it says to call back "vanquis" or something. I rang the service provider to block and no help from them. How the heck did this "company" get hold of my mobile number ??? My number is known to few close friends only and I don't post my mobile number anywhere on the internet. |

One of your friends probably sold your number to the company. Or any of 100 other ways.
For an immediate solution: You might be able to assign certain callers to certain 'ringing profiles' so that when certain people call the phone uses a different ringtone/volume. If you assign the problem number to a 'silent' profile you won't be too disturbed by them. Or you could tell the company to stop calling you.

As found by a quick search. Seems related to your problem caller. They are a company that asists people in re-establishing their credit. Would seem that your number matches or nearly matches the number of someone they think they can help. Hope this helps, Cheers, Cap'n Mike ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

If you act crazy enough, they will stop calling. I promise. Just keep talking about black helicopters, Obama, the Kennedy assassination, baby formula, homing pigeons, and the Masked Magician. Every time.
And if this doesn't work, you'll still give the person something to think about for a very long time. Don't forget to reveal the Masked Magician's real name. THAT is what freaks people out. |

Register at the National Do Not Call Registry.
After 31 days, if they continue to call, they're subject to serious fines. I believe it's 500 dollars for each infraction. This will stop this nuisance call, but not all nuisance calls. Item 28 at http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer/alerts/alt107.shtm indicates the calls that will remain legal. Quote: 28. If I register my number on the National Do Not Call Registry, will it stop all telemarketing calls?
