Is anyone familiar with drawing in a crowd with the 30foot chain? Mario Morris used this in his early shows to draw in a crowd in his straight jacket escape show and got rid of it in his later show. I was wondering what kind of success others have had with it and with what type of shows. Thanks.

If you put a 30 foot chain on the ground people stop like crazy! You don't have to do anything! But beware - if you use a 32 foot chain it won't work. 29 and your head explodes.

The chain in bucket is more for the circle show type performer. mario uses it because he needs the chain for the escape. if you don't do a chain escape don't bother to do it.
more imporatant is why is this so good. because the chain running form the bucket makes a lot of noise. you can play with it put it out etc. this can be a 10 minute thing depending on your situation and audience. understand and then create something of your own. for me this is so Mario that I would never use it. |

No you can't. The chain you are using for drawing an edge can only be the special version made for escapists. You can only get it from http://www.magicjunkthatyoudontneed.com .

I do still use the Chain as described in my Lectuer at Blackpool, Robert Blake is right I use it only when I am doing an escape. As I stated infront of 600 attendees your welcome to use this idear it is very effective.
Andy Bell as usual is right, you can go and by your chain from Wal-Mart it is a lot cheaper. I would suggest to try and surport a small hardware store like a family run busness. Personally Veronica and I refuse to shop at big chain stores. Which includes supermarkets, fast chain stores and walmart. When ever possible we buy fair trade products. If I ever do stock chain I will be sure to let you know, but like I say walmart is cheaper and they will be more than happy to take your money, enjoy. Mario PS for worried escape artist I did not teach how to escape but just taught on how to attract an audiacne amoungst other things. |

Don't you think it's a bit ironic - the fact that most chain stores don't actually sell chain in any shape or form?

I think I might start marketing special "Street Chain" it will be bigger than normal chain so that it can be seen by the crowd as we all know that normal size chain becomes invisible after you get more than 10 people around you. It will come with the option of a special reinforced "street bucket" that is also larger than you might think is really needed and is tough enough to last out there in the real world. Of course it won't be cheap but then professional quality props never are.
If you are interested pm me, if I get enough positive responses then I'll do it! Andy
