Hey guys,
I was wondering if anyone as ever used Stanchions/Stantions for your Que. lines. I am considering bringing some in for June (school bbqs). This way there is less problems with people cutting in line and its easier to end the line saying if your not in this section in ten minutes you will not be getting a balloon. Anyone have any experience using them or have any thoughts on this? Thanks |

YEp I have used them before.
Might I suggest a U or S shape verses a straight line. The U and S provide a chance for people to watch your progress. I also use stanchions to rope off my area. this keeps people from crowding me. I make a square and then have a cue line for the Deli ticket machine. I call off numbers. people get the idea after a very short time and it give the crowd a viewing space too. Elevation or an elevated platform is a great way to do things too. Thing Snake Oil Sales man!!

Thanks Mark,
I will probably get them in May after a couple big money gigs are over and I have an idea how many BBQs I will be doing. How many would you suggest? I was thinking of just getting four to start (the belt type) |

A simple U-shape will be 4 stansions. An S-shape will take 6. Remember they will be heavy. Belted are best. Watch the kids being stupid, kids will hang on them and break them.
