Canada is about to join the short list of countries that use polymer currency...
http://www.cbc.ca/canada/ottawa/story/20......ney.html Should make T&R bill effects 'interesting,' otherwise, no difference for serial # divinations (as serial; #s on Canadian currency have not been 'alterable' for some time). |

Australian currency sucks for AG's Energy Bill
....and now, Eric, you will have to do as we do and give an explanation as to why you are using US currency "all of a sudden" Kam

Australia invented the polymer currency and has been exporting it to various countries for around 15 years. It was slow take up but the last time I looked (which was probably 2 years ago) there were over 25 countries worldwide using it. Considering there are around 200 countries depending on how you categorise them, that's a higher percentage thn most would think. Since I've been involved with selling magic, I'm constantly asked if certain tricks would work with plastic money. The fact is that most will with some slight adaptation and something most magicians are too lazy to do - PRACTICE. For about 3 years I was reading that bill switches and the like were out. Its rubbish - you simply have to re-think and adapt. There are also some advantages to plastic money and we'll see more of them unfold (pun intended) as more countries take plastic up. Ireland is a recent addition to the list and the USA have certainly trialed it. Given that they have knocked back so many other standards picked up around the world - don't hold your breathe. Sean |
