There can't be any Canadian geese left in Canada, because they are all around here. I'm always steping over goose jazz, they cross the road by the thousands, and take their good old time about it too. They should be renamed Pennsylvania geese. We have even had several geese kills, because of poluted water in local ponds. There is no longer any room for people in the parks.

You people, always going on about the illegal immigrants.

Well Al you probably have a fair amount at your end but I've seen some making their way back here in Ontario so soon enough it will my turn to avoid the jazz. |

They don't leave here, they are here all year round. In a couple of weeks there will be little ones crossing the street by the hundreds.

Same is true here. They favor the golf courses, but just about any random pond has its share.

Haven't seen 'em yet this spring, but it should be any day now.
Hard to believe that they were endangered in the 50s. John

I think that you have the Canadian geese from the North mixed up with our neighbors from the South, who come here to find jobs. The geese are only here to p**p in the park.

Most of them don't leave. According to this, there are two different types. The ones I see all the time are the big ones that don't leave.

When I was a kid the ring necked Phesant was the most plentyful bird in Pennsylvania, now by far it is the Canadian Goose, and after the Goose it is the wild Turkey, whick we just didn't have back in the 50's. Now you can spot wild Turkey's both in your back yard, and at the magic Café.

I believe that it was a flock of Canada Geese that forced the airplane to land in the Hudson river last year.

Good news. The geese have started to arrive. The bits of open water are enough to get the brave first wave of honkers all the way to Edmonton. Hopefully this will take some pressure off your golf courses.
