I am super excited about launching my lecture tour the first week of April.
I am offering custom, hand-made coin rings in any ring of choice (Morgan silver dollars, Peace dollars, 1964 Kennedy halves, walking liberties, state quarters, Franklin halves, barber halves, any coin available in any date available). Check out some of the pics: http://i789.photobucket.com/albums/yy180......ing2.jpg http://i789.photobucket.com/albums/yy180......Ring.jpg http://i789.photobucket.com/albums/yy180......erAZ.jpg http://i789.photobucket.com/albums/yy180......ower.jpg These make for some UNREAL spellbound changes. Also in my lecture material is a fresh look at the topit utilizing a technique I call "static hand topiting." This is a topiting technique that requires no elbow lifting, no throwing, and no awkward movements or gestures. The hand stays in one place while the item is topited. I have also brought my own take on the topit design for maximum use of the static hand. Other material includes how to build an act. I cover creating & developing a character, finding the right music without being trite, creating a plot (tracing a narrative), creating an emotional hook, practice and rehearsal, etc. I offer 8 powerful, real-world working close up effects (none of them are with cards). Four focus on presentation (plot, emotional hook, maximum entertainment value) and four focus on manipulation (I have brought my stage manipulation experience into the close up realm for some of the most visual magic possible). My stops and locations so far are as follows: - IBM 165 in Collingswood, NJ – April 5th - Trickzone Philly – April 9th - SAM 35 in Poughkeepsie, NY – April 13th - SAM 252 in Fairfax, VA – April 15th - IBM 59 in New Haven, CT – May 3rd - SAM 118 in Nashua, NH – May 5th - SAM 17 in Springfield, MA – May - IBM 6 in Springfield, PA – May 10th - SAM 24 in Latham, NY – May 11th - IBM 23 in Cleveland, OH – June 9th - IBM 68 in Toledo, OH – June 10th - IBM 123 in Long Branch, NJ – Sept 22nd - SAM 141 in Columbia, MD – November 8th If you have any questions, feel free to hit me up here on the Café or look me up through my website: http://www.magicbymanipulation.com Hope to see you on the road... I will see you in VA on April 15th.
I am getting so tired of slitting the throats of people who say that I am a violent psychopath.

I've had the pleasure of knowing Peter for several years. And it truly is a pleasure. His work is superb and he makes it look effortless. Of course, we know it isn't. I've also appreciated how he approaches his magic to make it far more than just one trick after another, strung together. The fact that he's sharing this knowledge with the magic community is superb, and I'd highly recommend you take the time to attend his lecture. I may be just a card guy, but I know marvelous magic when I see it. And after you learn from Peter, you'll know it as well.
Cheers,

Thanks, Steve. I'm chomping at the bit to get out there. We are putting the last minute touches on preparation and working like fiends constructing topits.
I've got a few surprises in the mix. |

Well, with fiends like this, who needs enemas?

I guess I should bring a jacket?

That depends. If you would like us to install your topits for you, then yes, please bring a jacket. However, if you want to install them yourself, then it is not necessary. I would bring it just in case. I think you will like this technique... a lot.

I just arrived home from Peter's first stop on his lecture tour: IBM Ring 165 in Collingswood, New Jersey. The lecture was excellent.

I was always afraid to do a topit because my belly seemed to get in the way. Peter solved that problem with his "Static Topit" method. I have both Patrick Page and Ammar topit.
Just seeing this from Peter Pitchford was worth going to the lecture!
