I have a video of Al Flosso performing his fantastic Miser's Dream, and when he used his coin wand, he could retract the coin on the end of the wand without bending it with his hand. I have a Zanadu coin wand, but the coins appearing at the end must be bent before they will go into the wand. Does anyone know what other types of coin wands are out there? I've heard in the days past coins somehow slid from your palm to the end of the wand on a kind of track? Anyone out there with some info?

There's a coin wand mentioned in Bobo's Modern Coin Magic, page 294 of the hardcover, that uses a folding coin. According to Bobo it was invented by Don Boss and based on a coin wand used by T. Nelson Downs.
I tried to buy one a few years ago, the folding coin wand, but found it impossible to locate anything out there other than very expensive collector's items. Wish I could be more help, but maybe someone else has more info. |
