Is it just in Pennsylvania or do all of the men across the country that ride Harleys weigh over 300lbs. and have grey hair. I guess young slim men just don't ride the big hogs.

All over the country people who have no business on a Harley are on a Harley.

There is a certain stereotype, yes...

But I gotta tell you, and I mean no offense, it's much sadder for a morbidly obese old dude to ride a rice burner than it is for a little squirt to ride a hog.

Most of the fit, thin guys either can't afford a Harley, or don't have the patience to go through the waiting list to buy one. Most Harley owners I know (which is about two) are rich or retired. Same as the people I know who own sports cars.

I'm not rich, I'm not fat, I don't own a Harley.

But I used to have really old Kawasaki that was restored from 2 bikes. I always thought it was cool. It had the "look", it had a huge frame and motor, and it sounded like a freight train.

What surprised me every time was getting the thumbs-up, approving nods, and sincere questions from all the Harley riders I met.

HEY HEY HEY
I am a grey haired guy that is not over weight, by no means rich, and I drive a MINI Cooper convertible (sports car). It represents the kind of fun I wanted to have when I was a kid, and much to my surprise when I'm stopped at a red light (with my top down) attractive women actually beep their horns and yell over to me "I love your cute little car". In my whole life I have never had women in Mercedes waving to me. I am trading my 2006 MINI in for a 2010 MINI S this Summer because I haven't had enough fun yet. I would post a picture of my car here if I knew how.
