Hi,

I loved the promo.

Firstly you were performing, yet have managed to make it all about the phenomenom of hypnosis, their mind and the experience and not ME ME ME, fastest, bestest, egotist.

Nice professional feel, especially as it was street stuff.

Exactly the kind of look you should be going for. If I was a punter I would buy the mystery and want to know more.

Good work. Nice to finally know what you look like Smile

Hey Henzi - powerful stuff. Really sells your ability. Put together really professionally too, so shows you mean business. I've seen movie trailers without as much drama and anticipation!
cheers.

I think you did a great job. As Matthew wrote, nice drama and anticipation. I would just ask two things:

1) Is the music original? Here in the U.S., if it's not original or licensed, you could have a copyright problem.

2) I have no idea what it's advertising. Hypnotherapy? Hypnosis shows? That hypnosis is trippy? Why were certain parts repeated? Are they more important?

Here in the U.S. a couple of years ago, Microsoft ran some commercials with their founder, Bill Gates, and comedian Jerry Seinfield. They were trippy, too, although to be honest, your promo was far more interesting. But people still wonder what they were advertising and the ads were justifiably and roundly criticized.

I think what you did was very good, but not finished. It gets people attention (it got mine!) but once you have it, you don't do anything with it. I would encourage you to take the next step and make clear what you are promoting and why.

Take away the pictures and the music and text is nicely done but meaningless. Take away the music and text what do you have? Well nothing much really.

What is not an illusion? I don't see anything remarkable.

I disagree with Anthony - because something is in the street doesn't mean its professional. Screwy logic if you ask me. If anything its the opposite.

I thought the production quality was good from what little I know, However as a prospective client I would ask what it is you do exactly, I saw nothing entertaining, interesting yes but not neccesarily entertaining. I believe audience reactions added would help a lot along with footage shown in a theater environment.

Id be interested to know what software you used to make that? It looks really well done in my opinion and I am currently taking suggestions on software.

I liked the clip. I do agree maybe add a little at the end to sell yourself.

My point was it is tough to make 'street' footage look professional.

I see... is that because street hypnosis is not really professional?

The production values were good though....I just couldn't see where it was going.

Although Pakar does seem to have good presence

Depends if you get paid for it. Silly question.

I liked the look and feel of the whole thing. Loved it in fact.
However I agree with MP in as much as I wanted to know why it didn't have a promo message. By that I mean: what are you selling, when, where, and at what cost?
Having said that, that's the 'sausage' which takes no real skill. What you did do Henzi was sell the 'sizzle'. I liked it. By the way I passed it on to Barry, Stuart and D.B. who all liked it and send their regards.

Now to answer your questions as to why I have not put any contact info with the vid...

'Cause I'm an idiot. Smile

Seriously though, this video is just a "work in progress" really, as is my Show... I wanted the opinions and advice from guys like you all here to make it better first... Now that I know that it is ok, I can take the next step...

I'm putting the info as I type this.

Btw, my brother is a Professional Film Editor and that's why the editing was so good...

And I am a Professional Actor btw... Have been since 2001. Though the Magic came much earlier.

Btw, I posted this on the Not Very Magical Still Forum. Check it out, my latest TV Commercial Job(this is the "censored" version just because of the spring "sproinging" at the end. Don't you just love censorship in Malaysia. They will be airing the "clean" version without the spring at the end.)
