Bill Cushman and I talked about a hardcover version some time ago. I think this may be the solution for owners of the W.A.

I'm going to throw this out there and see what you guys think.

When I sell an Ark of Astaroth it comes with a Witches Almanac with a slightly different cover.
Instead of having "The Witches Almanac" at the top, it has "The Dekranom"

It has the same Astaroth symbol under it. At the bottom it has "500 Inner truths"

Of course you owners know your WA has Dekaranom inside the book.

______________________________________

The WA has

The Witches' Almanac

Astaroth symbol

Dekranom
500 inner truths
1938
______________________________

The Dekranom would have

The Dekranom

Astaroth symbol (silver)

500 inner truths
1938

_________________________________________

It will be gold embossed and the Astaroth will be silver-all aged of course.

This would mean owners of the WA would have a Witches' Almanac spiral bound and a Hard cover Dekranom (witches' almanac)

Let me know what you guys think

Had my eye on WA for some time so I'd buy a hardcover Dekranom in a flash.

Dekranom is my vote. I have a WA and use it almost daily. A hard cover Dekranom would give me a choice between the two- the witchy angle, or a ceremonial magic angle. A hard cover edition is an instant purchase for me.

Depends on who you are playing it for. With a more intelligent and educated crowd, I would play it as the Dekranom. With a more working class crowd. it would be the W.A.

I'd also love the Dekranom.

Just one thing: Maybe consider changing the font to a more "typewriter Style" font, that would increase the realism. Also the pictures in the WA look very "printed from a computer". Maybe there's a way to print them in a different way?

what do you think?

The Dekranom cover font is not storybook like the W.A. it is almost a block style, very creepy.

Very "straight" looking font, nothing fancy. It's creepy.

I really like the look of this piece. I already own the original but I am really enjoying the look of the hardcover pieces being put out.

The one small drawback might be that if anyone Googles the name, the first results are Roth's site and the Café... With WA that isn't a problem...

Agreed that it looks much more super cool though.

Never understood why the Café wasn't search engine proofed- only takes a tiny adjustment the the html code.

Rick, if I had a hero you would definitely be it.

That's a compliment.

The book looks amazing- just placed my order. A fine addition to my library- to be sure. Looking forward to receiving it.

It's an intertesting idea, but may be more interesting with an earlier datation (around 1910).
That's impossible for the spiral bound because spiral binding was in use around 1936 or a bit earlier. A "normal" binding may have been produced at an earlier date. That interests me, because I've an idea about a story around WWI. Smile
