Selling on hocus-pocus, anybody have this? Anyone care to provide a review? Sounds interesting, and there is a demo on http://www.hocus-pocus.com
"Twitter is the most versatile mind reading tool available. It lets you perform the strongest and cleanest mind reading effects that you can imagine. A spectator thinks of ANYTHING (a word, a number, a card, an ESP symbol, a shape, etc) and writes it on a business card which she puts in her pocket. This is done while the performer looks the other way. Finally, the performer faces the spectator and reveals the spectator's thought. Twitter is extremely easy to perform and yet your audience will believe they are witnessing a genuine mind reading test. It comes complete with instructions and everything needed to perform it immediately. You are supplied with the special gimmick that can be used in MANY ways and it will surely become a strong hidden assistant in your arsenal of secret weapons. No forcing. No accomplices. No pumping. No pre-show work. No electronics. No refills required. Twitter uses state of the art material that with good care will last a lifetime. Great for stage, street, close-up and impromptu effects. Resets instantly." $ $ $ TWITTER SPECIAL $ $ $ -- Follow the simple instructions provided in the "Do it Yourself and $ave" section and learn how to recover the cost of buying Twitter by building your own special "secret" whenever required. "Pieras' Twitter is a revolutionary hit in Mentalism! Reliable and easy to do. A brand new technique - and I love it." -- Lennart Green "Twitter is a must for the seriously working Mentalist of the 21st century. In my fifty years of mentalism, I consider Twitter to be technically the best effect of its kind!" -- Dusenberg "Twitter is an ingenious mind reading effect. I will surely use it in my repertoire." -- Giacomo Bertini |

Do you need to take the card back off them? If so, then its nothing new; and I notice the advert glosses over that. I do believe John Riggs has I** pads as small as a Post-it-Note.

It looks like something Carlyle sells on his website, and appears to be an old Annemann method.I believe it was called Mental Masterpiece. But I am not sure. Although the ad says new principle, well we will see.

Yeah, I noticed that, Nick. I wonder if isn't a marker as in Lee Earle's Clone Pad, or the Buma Board, etc.

Lee Earle once marketed an "i" device that used a felt-tip marker, so it may be a similar method.

It comes highly recommended from a close-up card magician, who claims it is a REVOLUTIONARY hit in mentalism, and a brand new technique, I cant, I just cant take it anymore, I am going to buy this, and so help me God if its what I think it is, so help me God...

Stashu,
I really wonder if close up card guys know some of the things in mentalism that have been out for a long time. Your friend might, and he might be correct. I hope that I am wrong and it really is a new concept. Let us know. Antonchka

Wondering if anyone has a review of this yet? I agree with Platt - looks like "just think" but says you can predict anything. I'm guessing the writing has to be done on the back of the card box.

You can improve an i** pad, it is technically possible. If you can get the image without touching the pad, or if you can have them write with any pen or pencil, no matter how soft.
Recently John Riggs released his Cicada Mark V, which is identical to the older version except that its surface has been designed so that it still gets an impression easily (even from a soft pen), but it resists the impression of a hand leaning on it or someone pressing down. Technology improves, not by leaps and bounds, but by one chink at a time. And if Twitter is at all better, in any way, even the smallest way, than the origional then I think that's good. (Doesn't mean you have to buy it though!) Tom xx
