I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this thread, but here goes. It recently came to mind that, in the community where I live, there are one or two individuals who regularly go out of their way to help other magicians and foster the ongoing development of magic. In Edmonton, Alberta, one such individual is Shelby Craigen. Shelby is an incredibly experienced illusion builder who used to tour with Reveen. He also worked extensively with Mickey Hades and was the original builder of the famous finger chopper. Today, Shelby continually contributes back to the magic community by:

1. Mentoring young magicians within the magic club;
2. Producing an annual theatre show that spotlights local performers;
3. Building and repairing illusions/props for local magicians;
4. Performing at local charity events and fundraisers.

The countless hours that Shelby invests in the Edmonton magic community make us what we are today. Yet he never seeks fanfare or recognition. He is one of Edmonton's unsung heroes of magic.

I'm sure that such heroes exist in every magic community throughout the world. I thought it might be a nice piece of inspiration if we could use this thread to recognize some of them here. Let's identify who they are, what they do, and how much they are appreciated.
