I'm not sure, but I think they did it quite well actually,, although I didn't really care for the color changing silks at the beginning lol

The levitation (gimmick) used is a short version of the super X gimmick, it was made specially for this TV show to be used on that stage....

Really? We're going to come down on dancers for doing the color-changing silks? Their magic may not be the greatest, although it seemed to accomplish their goal, but maybe we ought to examine what a lot of magicians call "dance"!

Oh, no offense taken at all! I just found it amusing that the silks would become a topic of conversation vs. the actual levitation illusion!

The illusion was part of the dance, it wasn't an illusion show, so them doing a color changing silk (which looks like the ones Bob and I sell), then going into the suspension was just value added into the act. Doing a levi, Im wondering why they didn't do a Zombie to start of with, then segue into the suspension, that would have been more fluid.
Remember there's a difference between a suspension and a levi. They did the suspension since it was part of the routein and fairly easy to learn. Frank, magicians can't dance. LOL Ask Joanie Spina. |

Apparently, one week all the crews (or is it "crus") were required to incorporate an illusion into their acts. There's more at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3FDOaN3wvIU&NR=1.
