I just received shipment of this book and WOW!

It is an out of print title but wasn't hard to track down through Amazon.com's used book network.
Great introductory book on the basics of coin work.
It includes some very good tricks as well as excersices and technique. It even has non-sleight tricks in the first chapter to get you going!

Highly Reccomended as well as being very affordable($6 to $9 used HardCover).

Yes it is a good one. In fact I'm surprised that it seems to have gone off the radar since Lloyd Jones death. It really should be on the list of musts for the beginning coin worker.

I recall combining the three versions of the Coins Across into a routine. It also has Scarne's Copper and Silver (from Stars of Magic) The line drawings here are clearer than the photos in recent printings of SOM. Smile

If you liked this book, give a look at "Pure Magic" by Henry Gross. A great intro to general sleight of hand. I rank it right up there with Hay's "Amateur Magician's Handbook"

I just got this book as well... and as a beginner in coin magic going through Bobo's book, all I can say is WOW as well. I love the line drawings and the simplified steps in sleights. The mini-biographies are a nice touch: Han Ping Chien, Vernon, Scarne, Downs, Slydini, Tenkai, Gerald Kosky, Bertram, Ormond McGill, Jerry Andrus, Petee Biro, Daniel Cros.

Besides Bobo, Coin Magic, and Expert Coin Magic, I'd say that Shigeo Futagawa's Introduction to Coin Magic should be in the must-read section of a coin worker... more suited to be used with Bobo when starting out.

I had forgotton about this one, need to pull it out and take a look. I purchased it from Shigeo after a lecture in Las Vegas in early 90's I think. He autographed it in Japanese, maybe I should sent it to Max Maven to see what it says!
