eating a candy from Japan with rice paper wrapping.
I am looking for a source of disolving sheets of paper.

I remember that same rice paper when I lived in Japan. I think there's other dissolving papers that aren't exactly edible, but for rice paper I'd suggest looking on candy making sites.

I found a water soluble paper in Edmonds Scientific. It is rather expensive.
Will try candy land.

I can put rice paper in my mouth and make it disappear, for real. Honest.

I think rice paper and water soluble paper are different thgough rice paper does disintegrate in water but does not disapper completely.

I don't know what effect you have in mind but here in England you can buy water soluble fabric too.I've often thought it would come in useful even though you cannot eat it of course.

Water soluble paper was mainly used by bookies to eliminate evidence should the police unexpectedly arrive. Just drop it into a bucket of water by the desk and it was gone!

I do not know what is used in the manufacture of this paper, but I would not try to eat it.
