Will anyone be at the Pitchman reunion next week that I can look forward into running into?
I know it is a senior pitch man's event but was invited as a special guest by the man who runs it, who gives me the pleasure to bring in good numbers to set up my joint at some of his premo spots. |

I performed at the Sr. Pitchman's Reunion tonight in Vegas. Was a great crowd. Did my Float This! pitch at the end of my show as an encore (on request) and did a $100+ turn! I should have brought more stock!
Also got to hang with David Walker who was interested in me working some spots for him later in the year. Was great meeting David and the other legends in the business. Learned some great tips and words of wisdom during the open mic. Also heard some jackpots that made my best days look like peanuts. I'm talking 20k days. The best I heard of before from a reputable source was a 12k day. Despite what some say, this JCL is still learning! Looking forward to starting my fair tour next week, county and state fairs thru November. Look out you marks and punters! |

I think "jackpots" is carny slang for stories (and perhaps some "tall tales," too).
I have heard the term used as "jackpotting," meaning trading stories. SETH

Just got off the phone with David Walker and like I suspected Mr Roya is feeding us more bull. All David said was he had one last fair in Texas at the end of the season. So this talk of "some spots" he booked with David Walker is really only one spot and that was a maybe.BUT once David got to know Mr Roya he said he really dosen't want to do business with him.David said hes way to pushy and arrogant,David also said his magic show didn't have much magic in it and that Bobby Reynolds did a much better magic show.Bobby is such a great guy.
Oh and get this. This $100 turn. His DVD sold for $20 and my friend that took David Jerry Spaulding was kind enough to "stick it" for Mr Roya but Mr Roya was too dense to snap to that fact so Jerry never got his money back.Jerry wanted to give the DVD to David but David didn't want it.Do the math...his big $100 turn was only 4 pices. I hope you can all see though Mr Roya as he once again changed the facts to make him look like Mr BIG. Lets hope he goes on the road and stops posting here. Later,Don |
