I hope the title will generate a sufficient amount of hits, because this video is well worth it! Smile

Being a child of the '80s, I never got to watch too much of this show... 'Wogan'. Hence, it was news to me when I stumbled on this video. So if it's old news, blame my parents!

That being said, prepare to witness the two finest celebrity Cardicians of the century (who have admirably fine taste in quality card literature at that): Hugh Laurie (of House fame), and Stephen Fry (of Blackadder infamy).

The complement of dry British humour and RRTCM is a marriage made in HEAVEN.

I sincerely hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

I really liked it. That made me laugh hard when they used the magic words.

I don't think I saw that in Royal Road to Card Magic. Hmmm...

"The relevant magic words..." HA! Smile

IF only that was in RRTCM. Love it how that can appeal to both laymen and magicians. Laymen are dumbfounded that they were fooled by some celebrities with some "poofy magic book," and magicians will love the fact that they routined it so beautifully; using RRTCM as a ruse no less!

You are right, Pete... A great lesson in entertainment.

Glad you all enjoyed it!

Chappo, thanks, I loved it. They are an inspiration! If I remember correctly, Hugh Laurie was also in the Black Adder series. He played Prince Ludwig in Black Adder II, Prince Regent in the 3rd season and Viscount George Bufton-Tufton in Back & Forth.

I know you believe you understand what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

Glad you enjoyed it, mate. Indeed, you are correct. Laurie also got into series 4 (BA Goes Forth) in one of my most favourite of roles: Lieutenant The Honourable George Colthurst St. Barleigh. Smile Interesting to note that Fry and Laurie went on to become great mates in the great comic 'Footlights' stage extravaganzas following the Blackadder series and a TV show subsequently followed; A Little Bit of Fry and Laurie.

I gave 'House' as an example simply because he is better known by that role (though, not in my mind he isn't). Smile

Thanks for the post, mate! Smile
