I'm looking for this particular type of growing tie gimmick.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xB4gtZCJhp0 Does anyone know where I can buy it? Thank you. |

That type of growing tie was sold by Milt Larson some years ago, I remember it was made available again within the past year. Do a Google search.
Check out Hank Lee Magic Factory, he has 2 types of growing ties. |

Thank you, wmhegbli!!
But I think Milt Larson's version is the one sold every where, and different from the one in the video. In the video, he tugged both the two ends, and finally took it off completely which is what I need because I'm thinking to produce something from the necktie after growing effect and taking off. Is it possible for Milt's version to be taken off right after a growing effect? Thank you. P.S. I saw only one kind of growing tie at Hank lee. |

I can't believe you are so fooled by the video. This is of course a re-designed version of the Milt Larson Growing Tie. Milt Larson's comes in a very heavy course heavy cloth, and is hard to pull out because of the material.
I suggest you watch the video until you get the idea, I could tell you, but that would not be fair to the creator. The version on the video is not commercially available as it is presented. There are 2 version on the Hank Lee site. It may be called stretching tie or something else. I was looking for a quality version, but Hank Lee would not send pics of the different designs. He said let it up to his good tastes. Right! |

Just did a search on Hank Lee, it looks like he may have dropped the other 2 models he had last year. One was from Europe, I believe, made out of nice material and the other was more for clowning or very bright material.
Abbott's Magic also has carried a Growing Tie for many years. Again, they chose terrible cotton material and poor designs. The working is different then the Milt Larson method, but on the video, it looks like the performer may have combined the Abbott's method and the Milt Larson method for his version. |

Thank you so much for your info.
I'll try one of those and then see what I can do with it. Atsushi Ono |

Is it easy to make a custom one once I have purchased this.

Maybe everyone is not as keen as Mentalist.kin, but I will say, whichever you purchase would be able to be recreated. The Milt Larson model is a bit more "crafty", but with some materials from a fabric store and some glue, it is possible.
